The Kenbe Fem Project

Like the well-known AIDS Quilt or other collaborative community arts projects, The Kenbe Fem Project is a participatory collective expression of mourning created and displayed for personal reflection, public education, and ongoing advocacy. Small pieces of fabric with words, images, or other expressions—called reflections—are hung on a sequence of strings forming threads of connected memories or prayers.
These reflections are contributed by you and all those affected or moved by Haiti’s experience over the past year. The resulting display represents the power of many people coming together to mourn, grieve, and work to overcome trauma and loss.
