Home Truths for children affected by HIV/AIDS:
A new report, Home Truths: Facing the Facts on Children, AIDS, and Poverty summarizes the evidence emerging from two years of research and analysis by the Joint Learning Initiative on Children and HIV/AIDS
(JLICA), an independent alliance of researchers, implementers, activists, policymakers, and people living with HIV. The report's findings show that unless governments and their partners address the underlying issues of family poverty and gender inequality, large-scale HIV/AIDS programs in severely affected countries will continue to fall far short of the need. PIH co-founder Jim Yong Kim and the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard School of Public Health helped work on this report. Read the report and its recommendations for action.
