Host a 60 Minutes Party for PIH!
At 7 pm (EDT and PDT) on May 4, the acclaimed CBS news program 60 Minutes will
feature a segment on the work of Partners In Health in Haiti. 60 Minutes correspondent
Byron Pitts will highlight the work of our team at Zanmi Lasante, including
interviews with PIH co-founders Paul Farmer and Jim Yong Kim and local
staff working in Haiti.
We invite you to watch this program with your friends and family. We rely on supporters like you to help us reach new audiences and share the important work that PIH and its partners carry out in Haiti and all over the world.
To host a PIH house party:
- Invite your friends and family to join you on May 4.
- Provide food and beverages or invite your guests to a potluck meal.
- Provide copies of the Haiti fact sheet, copies of photos from our recent photo exhibit, a map of our project sites in Haiti, and the mailing list sign-up sheet.
- Share with your guests your story of how you became involved with Partners In Health.
- Watch the 60 Minutes piece at 7 pm.
- Show everyone the www.pih.org website
and watch a few more short videos on PIH’s work filmed recently by
the news office at Harvard University. (Go to http://www.news.harvard.edu/worldmedia/,
click the link at the top of the page for Haiti, and select locations on
the map or from the list under "Multimedia" to view the videos.).
- Invite your guests to sign up for the monthly e-Bulletin, which delivers updates on our projects and events in your area. If you are able to provide an internet connection, they can sign up online during your event.
