Jim Ansara, the founder of Shawmut Design & Construction in Boston, is working as the director of construction for Partners In Health. A staunchly pro-union employer, Ansara is using his connections back home to recruit dozens of skilled volunteers from Boston-area building trades unions to help a large local workforce of local Haitians.
