Between 2020-2022, the project helped more than 1,900 women and 115 men subjected to violence in Haiti's Central Plateau and Artibonite regions. The range of support included medical and psychological care and treatment, financial assistance, and referrals to services, from women’s and adolescents’ empowerment groups to security support.

With fewer and fewer pathologists in Port-au-Prince, access for patients is increasingly difficult. "It imposes on us, I believe, a moral duty to provide these services, with the highest possible standard,” said Joarly Lormil, HUM’s chief of oncology.

Since 2018, the program has supported mothers and babies through four key services: group prenatal and pediatric appointments, psychosocial support and counseling, community-based care, and hospital-based services.
