Major advance in the fight against MDR-TB: four new short and effective treatments from recent clinical trials approved by the WHO

Boston, 19 August 2024 – Today, in a rapid communication, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended 3 new regimens for multidrug- or rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (MDR/RR-TB), which were studied in the endTB clinical trial. This is a breakthrough in the fight against MDR-TB worldwide.
