9,950 patients in care for malnutrition

Like 1 in 4 children in Haiti, Raphaël was starving. His mother took him to a PIH-supported malnutrition clinic, where he was immediately hospitalized and began treatment. Now, thanks to PIH’s help, he’s growing strong and healthy.

2,400 TB patients completed treatment

Saio was one of millions suffering from tuberculosis, the world’s deadliest infectious disease. After receiving lifesaving treatment from PIH in Sierra Leone, the now 29-year-old widow is cured and reunited with her children.

1,900 advocates trained for policy action

Fynn Crooks first joined the PIH movement as a member of PIH Engage—a grassroots network of community organizers. Today, they are teaching Engage members how to advocate for global health policy.

For years, Sister Patricia has helped curb one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world. As part of the PIH team in Sierra Leone, she supports safe deliveries and trains the next generation of maternal health clinicians.
